I'm retired after working 30 years as an administrator at a community college in southern Ontario. Brad is retired after working almost 30 years as a process development engineer at a leading manufacturer.

Since 2010, we travel throughout the U.S. southwest during the winters while our family hold down the fort at home. Besides traveling and hiking, I'm into reading and genealogy.  Brad loves rock collecting, water sports and old cars, especially his 1971 Mustang which he has owned since 1978.  We both love to hike, cycle, kayak and obviously travel especially in the southwest desert.

We spent our honeymoon in California in 1982, returned to Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California again in 1987 for three weeks in an RV and said "we HAVE to do this again".  It took us over 20 years, but we finally made it back to Arizona in 2008 (but not in an RV), and Utah in 2009 (again no RV).  It broke our hearts both times to have to return home.  When the opportunity arose for us to retire in 2009, we decided that this is where we wanted to spend our winters - in the southwestern deserts of Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, New Mexico and California.

Latitude: whatever.  Longitude: who cares?
